On Sept. 10th, 2002, Holdfast declared to provide Shanghai Telecom with next generation MPLS VPN facilities, Redback's SmartEdge, to enable the un-matched functions of MPLS VPN.
After several months preparations and testing, Holdfast's solution outstanded other competitors' with its advanced technologies, powerful functions, stable performance and leading consulting services.
Shanghai Telecom will deploy the upcoming MPLS VPN over its IP Broadband WAN. Other than providing the SmartEdge 800 as the main routing equipments in the VPN, Holdfast is also undertaking the engineering and networking of the project.
The project begins in the middle of October, and is expected to finish and be on service by the end of this year.
