"ADSL­Game Bond Cup" War III National Contest Successfully End


"ADSL­Game Bond Cup" War III National Contest was hosted by Shanghai Holdfast Sci. & Tech. Co., Ltd (China Game Association www.CGA.com.cn) and the Data Communication Division of Shanghai Telecom. The contest aimed to promote the very popular and highly potential War III contesting in the country and establish CGA as a professional and authoritative organization for game contesting in the nation's wide.

The contest had been paid much attention by the players all over the country from the beginning. The page view (PV) of CGA and contest web pages achieved amazingly numbers in very short time. Shanghai Holdfast, one of the sponsor, designed a player grouping system for the contest to avoid possible cheatings on grouping. In 3 hours after the beginning of online registration for the contest, all vacancies (512 individuals and 32 teams) were occupied and lots of the missing players regretted so much for the lateness.

The finals were held on the 1st and 2nd of January 2003, at Shanghai Mingmao Net-caf¨¦. The PCs for contesting have very good hardware (P4 1.7G¡¢256MDDR¡¢15"LPT) to ensure the best performance of the game.
